Medicine Hat Public School Division releases 2026-27 school year calendar

The Medicine Hat Public School Division released its 2026-27 school calendar on its website Wednesday.

Following summer break, classes will resume Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026. Notable dates include:

Sept. 18 – Division-wide professional development day;

Sept. 30 – National Truth and Reconciliation Day, schools will be open;

Oct. 9 and Nov. 12, 13 – Division-wide professional development days;

Dec. 21 to Jan. 1, 2027 – Winter holiday;

Feb. 15-19, 2027 – No school, holiday and ATA teachers’ convention;

April 23, May 21 and June 28, 29, 2027 – Division-wide professional development days;

June 25, 2027 – Last day of classes for the year.
