A 44-year-old female resident of Two Hills was pronounced deceased at the scene of a collision involving a stolen sedan and semi-truck on Highway 41 near Highway 640 on Feb. 5.

Mounties received a call of the collision shortly before 9 a.m. last Thursday and upon arrival discovered the female driver of the sedan was ejected from her vehicle after it collided with the semi-truck and spun into the right shoulder of the highway.

Further investigation has revealed that the sedan and licence plate attached had both been reported as stolen and police believe the sedan, travelling northbound, crossed the line into the Southbound lane and the semi-truck was unable to slow down and avoid the vehicle in time.

RCMP have not named the deceased victim, however Mounties have expressed condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
