asmith@medicinehatnews.com A resident of Calgary is dead as a result of a shooting incident in Raymond on Feb. 7. Raymond RCMP was dispatched to a report of shots fired in the Town of Raymond at 2:18 a.m. The caller reported hearing 20 “pops” in a matter of minutes, along with raised voices. As a result, Raymond, Coaldale, Picture Butte and Cardston RCMP all responded, as well as with Lethbridge Police Dog Services. In addition to the death of the 22-year-old male resident of Calgary, Lethbridge Police Service is investigating the circumstances around a 26-year-old male resident of Calgary who attended the Chinook Regional Hospital with a gunshot injury early in the morning of Feb. 7. While investigation is ongoing, the incident is believed to be targeted and isolated. Calgary and Lethbridge FIS, Lethbridge PDS, KDIV RPAS, Divisional Criminal Analysis Unit and the Lethbridge Police Service are all involved in the investigation.
