Police say Chad Lentz, 46, who was wanted on numerous nationwide warrants and was actively avoiding detention, has been arrested.
On Wednesday, the Medicine Hat Police Service said officers located and arrested Lentz following an extensive co-ordinated investigation into his whereabouts.
Police originally sought information from the public on Lentz’s whereabouts on Dec. 30, believing he was avoiding detection by altering his appearance and wearing disguises.
On Jan. 13 members of the MHPS tactical unit executed a search warrant at a commercial business in the 200 block of Third Street NE in Redcliff as part of the investigation to locate Lentz. But despite officers’ efforts, he remained at large.
Police say Lentz is now in custody, with no details yet on his next scheduled court appearance.
Officers would also like to thank members of the public for information provided throughout the investigation.
