All parents with students in Grades 4, 7 and 10 will be receiving an online code to share thoughts in the Alberta Education & Childcare Assurance survey.

The survey will ask questions about student growth and achievement, teaching and leading, learning supports and governance, and is used as a tool for the province to measure how schools are performing over time.

The results are calculated and provided to school authorities for the purpose of planning and reporting.

The government says a Random Access Code will be sent to parents online and all responses to the survey are anonymous. This code is randomly generated and cannot be used to identify individuals.

Parents with children attending a school with 120 or fewer students from Grade 4 to 12 will also be invited to participate in the survey, as well as most charter and private schools.

Teachers will also be invited to complete the survey.
