Danielle Smith to attend chamber-held fundraiser in Brooks

Premier Danielle Smith will be the guest of honour at a fundraising event in Brooks on Feb. 9.

The Southeast Alberta Chamber of Commerce is holding a fundraising dinner featuring a regionally-focused dialogue on the future of the region.

Municipal leaders, agricultural producers and regional partners are invited to attend the Heritage Inn Hotel and Convention Centre in Brooks to discuss economic development, agriculture, workforce sustainability and long-term community vitality.

The event will also feature a silent auction. Money raised will be used to support the Vet Med Scholarship Fund and Palliser Economic Partnership initiatives.

“Conversations with the Honorable MLA Danielle Smith” will begin with dinner at 6 p.m. Feb. 9. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the evening program featuring remarks from the premier starts at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available on the Chamber of Commerce webpage. The $125 ticket includes buffet dinner, dessert, coffee and tea and participation in the evening program. Eight and 10 seat tables are available.
