newsdesk@medicinehatnews.com Brain Aske and Chelsea Grisbrook have been charged in relation to a copper wire theft investigation by members of the Medicine Hat police. Last Friday, an MHPS Patrol Section officer located a stolen vehicle on Ninth Street NE leading to the arrest of Aske and Grisbrook. During a search of the vehicle police located approximately 85 pounds of copper wire, which was later confirmed to the property of the city’s electrical department and had been removed from grounding wires on power poles throughout the city. As a result of the investigation Aske has been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a controlled substance and three counts of breach of weapons prohibition. Grisbrook has been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000 and possession of a prohibited weapon. No dates on upcoming court appearances have been released. 8
