A former WWE superstar is heading to the Hat next month as the Canadian Wrestling’s Elite is returning to Higdon Hall during its tour of the Prairies.
Among wrestlers set to perform is former WWE World Tag Team Champion and superstar Davey Boy Smith Jr., who is currently wrestling professionally in Japan for All Japan Pro Wrestling.
Smith Jr. is the son of late WWF legend “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith, who wrestled in Alberta during the 1980s for Stampede Wrestling.
Smith Jr. is also the grandson of Stu Hart and nephew of Bret “The Hitman” Hart.
The show will also feature stars including crowd favourite local wrestler CAM!!ikaza, CWE heavyweight champion Chad Daniels, former Alberta Champions “Crude Oil” Cody Mac and “Hotshot” Danny Duggan.
This year, the CWE is celebrating 17 years of bringing live wrestling to Canadian fans and has been performing in Medicine Hat for a decade.

Doors for VIPs open at 6 p.m. on Feb. 19 at Higdon Hall at the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede, with general admission at 6:30 p.m. Bell time is 7 p.m.
