Fraudulent email disguised as Brooks Bandits staff member sent to sponsors

Brooks RCMP shared Monday an alert issued by the Brooks Bandits after a scam email had been sent to sponsors which was made to look like legitimate staff members.

According to a public statement the email was sent under the title “Finalized document: Nathan Crosby – PDF uploaded to Onedrive” and is disguised to look legitimately sent from a real address.

The Bandits say they are investigating the scam email and are reminding users on its mailing list to not open the document.
