A hate propaganda poster related to white supremacists was discovered on a postal service bulletin board in Bassano over the holidays, and Mounties are seeking the culprits.

RCMP were made aware of the poster on the Canada Post bullet board on Dec. 29 when it was removed, however a timeframe of how long the poster was hanging is uncertain due to the holidays.

Bassano RCMP are strongly encouraging anyone who witnesses or experiences hate motivated crime to report it, and are investigating the identification of the suspect or suspects who placed the hate poster.

“These acts target individuals and communities, and they have no place in our community,” said Sgt. Joe Schmidt.

Earlier in December, Brooks RCMP shared photos of a handful of locations of vandalism with racist and hateful messages surrounding anti-immigration and white supremacy.

Photos showing spray-painted swastikas and other anti-immigrant messages on public infrastructure, including traffic signs, were first reported on Oct. 1, 2025.

Since that time, eight other locations have been vandalized, with the most recent report on Nov. 26.
