newsdesk@medicinehatnews.com Medicine Hat police have now arrested Brendon Webb, 33, and Brooklyn Carriere, 31, who were wanted in connection to an early morning shooting at a southeast apartment building last Friday. Officers say the pair was successfully located Tuesday and were arrested on warrants on several serious offences, including firearms related charges, assault and robbery. During the early morning hours last Jan. 2, police responded to a call of a robbery and shooting at a southeast apartment that occurred during an altercation involving weapons between several known people. Both Webb and Carriere allegedly fled the residence and were encountered by an officer in a common area of the building, where one of the suspects shot their firearm before it was seized by the officer. According to police, non-life threatening injuries were sustained by multiple occupants of the private residence and threats were also made. Following the incident, police released photos of both suspects seeking information from the public on their whereabouts. Both Webb and Carriere were held for judicial interim release hearings and have been remanded into custody until their upcoming court appearances, the dates of which have yet to be released. The Medicine Hat Police Service expressed appreciation for tips and information provided by members of the public into their investigation. 10
