Police have issued warrants and are looking for two suspects involved in a targeted robbery and shooting in the city’s southeast in the early morning hours Friday.
Members of the Medicine Hat Police Service’s Major Crime Unit are looking for Brendon Webb, 33, and Brooklyn Carriere, 31, after officers responded to an altercation between several people that involved weapons.
According to police, non-life threatening injuries were sustained by multiple occupants of the private residence, who were known to one another, and threats were also made.
As Webb and Carriere allegedly fled the residence they were encountered by an officer in a common area of the building where one of the suspects shot their firearm before it was seized by the officer.
No officers or individuals were injured by this firearm discharge and police say the incident is believed to be targeted as all individuals are known to one another.
As the investigation continues police are seeking the whereabouts of both Webb and Carriere, who have been charged with several serious offences including firearms- related charges, assault and robbery.
Investigators are asking anyone with information that could assist in locating Webb or Carriere to call a member of the Criminal Investigation Section at 403-529-8481.
