asmith@medicinehatnews.com The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is already looking to the new year with an upcoming nature walk. This event, Watersheds in Winter, kicks off the new year with a free walk, in which participants will learn about what’s happening in and around the watershed during the winter months. “We’ll take a stroll along the river, enjoy the fresh air and discover interesting things along the way,” said park interpreter Rhys Mah Poy. Should the weather turn, Mah Poy assures they will have an indoor presentation ready to go at the Nature Centre. Those interested will meet at the Nature Centre at Police Point Park at 1 p.m. on Jan. 3 and are asked to be prepared with weather appropriate attire and sturdy, comfortable footwear. The MHIP also extends Happy Holidays to all of the city’s nature enthusiasts. 7
