Rossco’s Wing House delivered more than 350 turkey dinners to the Root Cellar on Monday, ensuring a holiday meal for residents in need.

This is a budding tradition that’s been going on since 2016, said Ross Beach, owner of Rossco’s. He says his team had worked through the weekend to cook everything, before spending Monday packaging all the meals and delivering them to the Root Cellar.

“I enjoy doing it, and Christmas is an important time in a lot of people’s lives, and a lot of people at this time do not have the benefit of families or do not have the benefit of having a Christmas meal,” said Beach. “It’s a way to let them know somebody does care about them at this time of year.”

He expressed gratitude to his team for being willing to put in the work, as well as the volunteers who helped him package and deliver the meals. Beach believes tit’s important to give back to the community and hopes to be able to keep providing these meals in years to come.

“Hopefully a lot of people will get on the bandwagon. Not necessarily have to produce that many meals, but there’s other ways that everybody can do it,” said Beach. “It’s just to reach out and say that they’re not alone. And right now, a home cooked turkey meal, and it just warms the soul and warms the heart and goes a long way.”
