newsdesk@medicinehatnews.com A 41-year-old Adam Massini is facing a long list of charges after he was arrested following a brief pursuit with police Monday. Massini, who was wanted on outstanding warrants stemming from a break and enter and robbery investigation in November, was arrested after officers witnessed him leaving an apartment building near Second Avenue NE on an e-bike. When approached by police, Massini first provided a false name and then attempted to flee on e-bike and on foot. However he was shortly taken into custody after a brief pursuit. Further investigation revealed that at the time of his arrest, Massini was fleeing the scene of an incident involving the unlawful confinement of two individuals. Officers also recovered a knife and suspected narcotics during his arrest and discovered the e-bike had been reported stolen. Massini has been charged with two counts of break and enter and robbery, two counts of unlawful confinement, obstructing a police officer, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property under $5,000, two counts of assault with a weapon, assault, two counts of uttering threats, two counts of fail to comply with a release order, possession of identity documents and three counts of breach of release order. Massini was held for a bail hearing and has been remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear before court on Dec. 9. Police have not released details on the two individuals found to be held in unlawful confinement. 10
