The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is returning for a third year in a row to feature a local animal made festive with their ornament making workshop. This year’s animal to be brought to life is a badger, which participants will create as a felt ornament. Previous years have included a snowy owl and a beaver. “This fun and lighthearted program is a great way to learn about one of our local animals while creating an adorable ornament – perfect for displaying at home or even gifting to someone special,” said park interpreter Rhys Mah Poy. The program will be held at the Nature Centre on Dec. 13 at 1 p.m., and is suitable for ages 14 and up. Some experience threading a needle is encouraged. As space is limited, registration is required and this program does have a cost of $10 per person. All funds raised will go back toward the interpretive program. Those interested are asked to visit the Nature Centre, or call 403-529-6225 to register. 7
