asmith@medicinehatnews.com The Home Routes Concert Series continues Nov. 26 at the Medicine Hat Public Library with Graham Lindsey and Maddy O’Regan. Starting at 7 p.m, the library will feature the fiddle and guitar duo’s original tunes, which Lindsey says shouldn’t scare interested residents off. “You’ll hear everything from beautifully sung songs to driving energetic tunes, featuring fiddle and guitar, with banjo and of course voice,” says Lindsey. “These tunes are in the familiar folk and Celtic styles, and will have toes tapping – and you’ll be humming a tune or singing a song for days after.” Lindsey is a multi-instrumentalist and composer, while O’Regan combines classical training with a deep love of folk music and brings a vibrant, engaging presence to every stage. Lindsey says he is used to small venues after his series of home concerts up until 2019, making the library an ideal venue for him to host an intimate performance. “I love being able to see each individual person, making connections when we’re playing, and being able to say hello to everyone after. Meeting folks and learning from the regions is the best part of being on the road,” said Lindsey. The library’s Home Routes Concert Series will return in February. 9
