newsdesk@medicinehatnews.com The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has told the News they are currently collecting information after a small private aircraft landed short of the Medicine Hat Regional Airport’s runway on Wednesday afternoon, however investigators will not be dispatched to the city. “The TBS is aware of the accident. There were no reported injuries. We are currently collecting information but will not deploy investigators to the airport,” said Nic Defalco, spokesperson. EMS did respond to the accident and AHS has confirmed none of the two occupants in the aircraft required to be transported to hospital after the aircraft came to a rest in the grass leading up to the runway. Airport operations staff worked quickly to clear the runway following the incident. Visible damage could be seen on the landing gear and the aircraft’s nose. All airport operations and flights have returned to normal schedule. 7
