UPDATED: Olde Tyme Christmas Fair in December, Farmers’ Market Christmas this weekend

Hatters have a number of opportunities to get ahead on Christmas, starting this Friday at the Medicine Hat Farmers’ Market annual Christmas Market.

Hatters are invited to check a variety of homemade treats and unique crafts from local vendors.

Children will also be able to drop off their letters to Santa, and the market will include free prize draws all weekend.

The Christmas Market runs at the Cypress Centre from noon to 8 p.m. on Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Admission is $2 per person, however children under 12 can get in for free.

The next Christmas market comes in December with the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede’s annual Olde Tyme Christmas Fair.

That market opens Dec. 4 and events begin at Co-op Pioneer Village at 5 p.m. The community is promised an evening full of holiday spirit, complete with an appearance from jolly ol’ Saint Nick himself.

The free annual event includes hot dogs, hot chocolate, s’mores and wagon rides, as well as free photos with Santa.

The Olde Tyme Christmas fair is sponsored by Servus Credit Union, and the Christmas Market is sponsored by UFA.
