newsdesk@medicinehatnews.com The Big Marble Go Centre is hosting a teenage themed event this upcoming Saturday night including several free activities, including an “epic” Nerf Rival battle. The first monthly Teen Takeover night is planned 7-9 p.m. on Oct. 25 and is free for all Big Marble members aged 13-17. Participants will be able to take part in an hour-long nerf battle in the fieldhouse, followed by an hour of access to the pool. “Hang out with your friends, make new ones and take over the facility – it’s your space, your night,” reads a promotional ad. Non-members are still invited to attend the event at a cost of $8 per admission. According to Big Marble, the “Teen Takeover” night will occur each month. Teens will also have the opportunity to check out a new professional art exhibition held at the Big Marble called “Pal-imp-sest” by artist David Harrison, who uses chips of fallen urban graffiti to craft art. The first art exhibition held at Big Marble is on display in the main hallway near the entrance to the fieldhouse until Nov. 4. 9
