News election night coverage live online, as it happens

Today’s paper marks the last issue before election day, and the News has you covered as you wait for results.

The News will be publishing hourly updates online starting at 10 p.m. Monday and continuing until 2 a.m.

Live up-to-date coverage from the News will begin again first thing Tuesday morning and continue until all results are available.

Polls will be open at 10 locations around the city on Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The News will be interviewing successful candidates and your new mayor after results have been reported.

Due to provincial orders to hand count all ballots, it is unclear when to expect official results, but based on estimates from the Elections Office on the ‘Kangaroo Board’ counting system, official results are most likely to come sometime during the day on Tuesday.

Saturday is the last day to cast a vote at one of the advance polling stations, located at Hockey Hounds Recreational Centre and Holy Family Parish. These stations will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
