newsdesk@medicinehatnews.com Medicine Hat College announced dates for its annual open house events held in November at the local and Brooks campuses, allowing potential students a glimpse into student life. Prospective students and their parents looking to attend the Medicine Hat campus can check out all programs and speak to representatives about apprenticeships, certificates, diploma and degree programs on Nov. 12. The college will host guided campus tours from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and host an onboarding presentation at 5:30 p.m. “It’s going to be about all those things you need to know to go to college,” says Kendra Kobley, co-ordinator of admissions and recruitment. “There will be some information that is suitable for parents and supporters and some information that’s helpful for students.” There will also be free food and prizes for attendees throughout the day. On Nov. 5 MHC Brooks campus will also host a similar open house event from 5-7 p.m. “I’m hoping that the open house can bring clarity, excitement and give them (an) idea of what their path could look like,” said Kobley. Kobley and her team will be on hand at both events to speak to any concerns people may have and share information for those who feel ready to apply. Those in attendance will have their 2026 Fall application fees waived, and each applicant will be entered to win a $1,000 tuition credit. To register for an open house, visit mhc.ab.ca/open-house. 12
