The Redcliff Youth Centre’s Glass House Haunting has returned after a year away to bring a Halloween thrill to anyone brave enough to enter.

In partnership with the Medicine Hat Kinsmen Club, the beloved haunted house attraction has returned to the region after lacking a location for the 2024 Halloween season. This year’s event will be hosted at 1611 Broadway Ave E, Redcliff, starting Friday evening and running until Oct. 31.

“We’re beyond excited to bring the Glass House Haunting back to Redcliff,” says executive director Janae Ulrich. “This event not only brings our community together for some Halloween fun, but it also helps us continue offering free prevention-based programs, workshops and supports for youth who need a safe, inclusive space to belong.”

Those interested will be able to walk through the attraction for $10 per person, or $25 per family, which allows two adults and two children aged 12 and under to attend. It will be available Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6-10p.m, Fridays and Saturdays from 6-11p.m, and Halloween night itself from 5-11p.m.

The haunting is a major fundraiser for the Redcliff Youth Centre, said Ulrich, and it allows for the centre to continue to offer vital programming.

“Every dollar raised through the Glass House Haunting goes directly into programs that empower our youth to make healthy choices, build resilience, and gain the skills they need to thrive,” said Ulrich. “We’ve seen firsthand how prevention-focused programs can change the direction of a young person’s life, and events like this help make that possible.”

The Redcliff Youth Centre offers programming for youth aged 10-17, focused on mental wellness, life-skill development and early intervention strategies, many of which are largely made possible due to funding from events like this.

Ulrich extended her thanks to the sponsors for this year’s haunting, Medicine Hat Kinsmen Club, GVN Structures, Fun Timez Entertainment and Fox Canada.
