Police Point Park is getting into the Halloween spirit a few days early, with the Forest of Fear Storytelling Night.

With the slow creep of the change of seasons, the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program has noticed some strange happenings, says park interpreter Genevieve Mathieu, especially at night.

“The Invasion is this year’s theme for our annual Halloween fundraiser event that will take you on an eerie and educational after-dark adventure,” said Mathieu. The guided walk comes at a cost of $20 per person and participants will be asked to select their preferred 30-minute time slot for their interactive outing, which will take place Oct. 25 between 7 an 10 p.m.

This event requires pre-payment and MHIP warns that tickets are non-refundable. It is tailored for adults and older teenagers, with ID checked at the door. Minors sixteen years of age or younger are permitted, but must be accompanied by an adult.

The event will go ahead in all conditions except extreme weather.

For more information, those interested are encouraged to call the Nature Line at 403-529-6225.
