The annual Fall Into Christmas Handmade Market is celebrating its 20th year in Medicine Hat from Oct. 17-19.

This holiday tradition invites artists, craftspeople and makers from across Canada to showcase their handmade goods.

Examples of the goods on display include jewellery, ceramics, soaps and body care, metal art, clothing, textiles, leather and visual art. The market always features an exciting variety of speciality food and drink, including wines and spirits.

There will also be a draw for gift certificate redeemable at the show, and the Medicine Hat Women’s Shelter Society will be hosting a fundraising raffle stocked full of donations form this year’s participating vendors.

This year’s market will feature more than 100 artisans under one roof at the Field House on the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede grounds.

Show co-ordinator Dawn Paquette says the show is a perfect opportunity to bring a friend, meet the artists and support creators of Canadian handmade products.

“You will be able to find something for everyone on your Christmas list, including yourself,” she said.

The market will run from Friday at 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tickets for Fall Into Christmas Handmade Market are on sale at fallintochristmasmedicinehat.com. General admission is $7, senior’s admission is $5 and children 17 and under can enter for free.
