The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is inviting residents out to explore the changing landscape with the Autumn Plant Walk. “Plants often look different as they prepare for colder weather and sometimes, they can be harder to identify,” said park interpreter Erika Derman. “As we walk through Police Point Park, we will be identifying native plants and learning about what causes their appearance to change.” The walk will be hosted Oct. 18 starting at 2 p.m. in Police Point Park, meeting at the Nature Centre. While there is no cost associated with the program and no need to register to attend, donations are always welcome. As the program is outdoors, those interested are encouraged to dress for the weather. 5
