Crescent Heights became a hotspot for culture, wellness and community over the weekend for the third annual Thrive Together event.

Previously known as Culture Days, the collaborative event between What Matters to Hatters, Medicine Hat Tourism and the City of Medicine Hat was expanded this year to include various free fitness classes alongside the team sports competitions, maker’s tables, a resource fair and cultural demonstrations.

Also new this year was Register Now, in which several clubs and organizations set up informational tables and allowed for visitors to the event to learn more about recreation opportunities in the city. While previously contained to the Big Marble Go Centre last year, the event was expanded this past Sunday to include the cultural stage and a conversation cafe at Crescent Heights High School.

“It was amazing to see so many local organizations involved in an event that has such a positive social impact on our community. On behalf of the sport and event council I would like to thank What Matters to Hatters for including us in this amazing event, and the City of Medicine Hat for providing the space,” said Nick Wepruk with Medicine Hat Tourism’s sport and event council. “I am already looking forward to next year!”
