A program for the night owls, the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is plunging into the world of moths.

Participants will learn different ways to attract, catch, and identify different species of moths, using several types of live traps and techniques.

“We will be meeting at 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, to set up the traps and talk about moths and the role that they play in the ecosystem,” said park interpreter Genevieve Mathieu. “The program will be hosted off-site in the Kensington neighborhood and will end at 10:30 p.m.”

With limited spots available, registration is required, and there is a five dollar fee per person to cover the cost of the equipment. Those interested are asked to call the nature line at 403-529-6225.
