Mounties have released a composite sketch which resembles a man who reportedly grabbed and kissed a female walking in the Lake Stafford walking path on Sept. 5.

Police received the report from a female who was walking and approached by a male who began asking her numerous intensive and personal questions.

At one point, the male grabbed the female’s hand and kissed her arm and face before the female pulled away and told the male his behaviour was not acceptable.

Upon police arrival, the suspect fled the scene and police say their investigation continues to identify the male suspect and have released a sketch to the public seeking further information.

The suspect is described as a light brown male, 5’8″ with a slim face, brown eyes and was riding a dark blue bicycle at the time.

Missing woman

Police are seeking information on the whereabouts of 35-year-old Keshia Perry, who was last seen in Brooks on Sept. 12.

Perry is described as 5’9″, approximately 135 pounds with black hair and wearing black glasses in a missing person photo.

Police are asking anyone with information on Perry’s whereabouts to contact the Brooks detachment at 403-362-5535.

Check stop

Police removed one impaired driver from the highway and issued several tickets and warnings to motorists during a check stop on Sept. 9 on Highway 873.

Members of the Brooks RCMP teamed up with city and county peace officers to conduct the joint check stop looking for impaired drivers, conducting document checks and monitoring for speeders.

Along with removing one impaired driver from the road, officers issued six tickets for no registration, four tickets for failing to produce insurance and “multiple” warnings issued to drivers.

Mounties say they would like to remind all motorists to regularly check the expiry dates on their vehicle registration, insurance and driver’s licence.

“Keeping these documents up to date helps avoid fines and ensure you are legally and safely on the road,” reads a media release.
