The Medicine Hat Police Service reached out to the community Friday seeking help in two separate incidents.
Officers are requesting help identifying a man involved in an armed robbery on Monday evening.
The man, wearing a specific baseball hat covered with NFL team logo decals, a face mask, dark coloured T-shirt and blue jeans, entered a liquor store in the southwest of the city at 9 p.m.
Armed with a weapon, the suspect demanded money from the cashier before fleeing the scene on foot.
Anyone with information identifying the suspect is asked to reach out to Sgt. Kurtis LaDouceur at 403-529-8481.
Motorcycle involved in collision
Police are also seeking any witnesses who observed a serious vehicle collision Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Box Springs Road and Saamis Drive NW.
At approximately 1:45 p.m. first responders were called to the collision between a motorcycle and a van that sent the driver of the motorcycle to hospital with serious injuries.
Officers say the 62-year-old motorcyclist was travelling north on Box Spring Road when a 23-year-old female driving a van heading southbound attempted to turn left onto Saamis Drive and turned in front of the motorcycle, resulting in the collision.
The Traffic Response Unit, along with EMS and firefighters were on scene for several hours investigating the collision, which impacted traffic in the area.
Speed and impairments are not believed to be factors in the collision, however police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Const. Cam Mulligen at 403-529-8481.
