Bottle donations to support local seniors centre

Until the end of October, bottle donations accepted at Shamrock Bottle Depot can be earmarked to support the Unison at Veiner Centre.

“Each dollar raised supports older Albertans to live their best lives,” reads an announcement from the Veiner Centre. “By reducing isolation, loneliness and hunger we are thrilled to help those who need it most.”

The Veiner Centre relies on community grants and donations from members of the public and businesses in the community to cover a portion of its total operating fees, and allows the centres to run programming such as Meals for Wheels and Veiner Vintage Transport.
