Redcliff RCMP seek suspect in assault at local bar

Redcliff RCMP are investigating an assault with a weapon at the local bar ‘Who’s on Third’.

RCMP say an investigation has been opened into an assault that occurred on Aug. 17 at 1:50 a.m. The victim was seen speaking to a group of people at the bar when she appears to have been told to leave by the suspect, RCMP say.

Soon after, the suspect grabbed the victim and began assaulting her before the incident was stopped by other patrons and the suspect was ushered outside along with their acquaintances.

RCMP says the victim followed the female suspect outside where they were allegedly hit in the head with a bottle.

The suspect, as described by RCMP, stands 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-7, weighing approximately 135-145 pounds. She had a medium complexion (possibly of Spanish or Mexican descent) with long black hair that has a slight curl. RCMP say the suspect was wearing a white shirt and a suede style brown skirt that ran ankle length, and appeared to be wearing white ‘strappy’ heels.
