newsdesk@medicinehatnews.com The Medicine Hat Public School Division has released school bus pickup and drop-off times for students returning to class following the Labour Day long weekend. On Sept. 2 Medicine Hat High School Grade 10 students will be picked up in the morning at their regular scheduled times and will get bussed home at noon. Grade 11 and 12 students will be picked up from the bus stop at 12:20 p.m. and dropped off at their regular scheduled times after school. At Crescent Heights High School there will be no Sept. 2 transportation provided to students in from Grade 10-2. However, Grade 8 and 9 students will get picked up in the morning at their regular scheduled times and bused home at 11:15 a.m. Grade 7 students at CHHS will not attend school until their first day of classes Sept. 3. Grade 7 students at Alexandra Middle School will be picked up in the morning at their regular scheduled times and will be bussed back at 12:15 p.m. Grade 8 and 9 students at AMS will be picked up from their bus stop at 11:30 a.m. and then home at their regular scheduled time after school. K-9 students at Dr. Roy Wilson Learning Centre will be bused at normal times. On Sept. 3, regular buses for all remaining schools will begin. Missed bus registration deadline The Medicine Hat Catholic Board of Education is reminding parents and guardians that all students must be registered to ride the school bus and that students are not automatically registered to ride the bus every year. “If you have moved over the summer and had registered for busing or now require busing, please make sure to contact our transportation co-ordinator before the first day of school to get your information updated.” reads a public statement released Monday. Parents and guardians can contact the school division by calling 403-502-8351 and reach out to the division’s transportation co-ordinator via email at transportation@mhcbe.ab.ca. Grade 1-12 Catholic students will be returning for the first day of class this Thursday. The first day of class for students in the Prairie Rose School Division is next Sept. 4. 18
