Human remains found in Brooks

Brooks RCMP is investigating after a body was discovered in the city on Wednesday evening.

Police say human remains were found in the alley near Southshore Drive E., just after 6 p.m. following a report from a Brooks man.

RCMP say they have initiated an investigation and an autopsy on the remains is scheduled for later Thursday.

No further details are being released at this time, however police say they anticipate an update in the near future.
