PorchFest announces lineup for upcoming 13th annual concert series

The fifth annual PorchFest runs throughout the day Aug. 30, with 13 performances announced online this week.

The free outdoor music festival, held on front lawns and porches across the Southeast Hill, allows local musicians to perform in front of hundreds of residents who are able to house hop from performance to performance throughout the day.

All performances will be about an hour long, kicking off at noon next Saturday, with Derek Hintz performing folk at 407 13th Street SE, and Netty Mac also performing folk at 538 Seventh Street SE.

Beginning at 1 p.m., country artist Jason Crooks can be heard at 358 12th Street SE, while Greg Herman will jam folk tunes at 837 Fourth Avenue SE.

Folk artist Connie Jean will perform at 488 Ninth Street SE at 2 p.m., while Sidechick will bring their Americana vibes to 306 Seventh Street SE.

At 3 p.m., punk rockers Penthouse Trauma will be live at 323 Ninth Street SE, while string artists Bow & Scroll can be heard at 380 Fifth Street SE.

At 4 p.m., country/classic rock band Rough Draft will play at 246 Sixth Street SE, while bluegrass group Bramble & the Rose will be on at 443 Aberdeen St.

Rockers Cannonball Knights will tear up the lawn of 326 Seventh Street SE at 5 p.m., while jazz artist Phat Daphine can be seen at 512 Cambridge St.

To wrap up the festival, the Not Quites, a local punk rock group, will perform on the lawn of 445 Belfast St.

All performances are free to the public and attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
