Free community barbecue this afternoon in Brooks

Residents of Brooks are invited to attend a free community barbecue this afternoon from 4-6 p.m. at city hall.

The free event is hosted by Inter Pipeline and the Safe Communities Committee of Brooks and Newel, and will provide residents the opportunity to grab a free burger and meet local first responders who serve in the community.

The event will also feature activities for children, including bouncy castles and lawn games.

The barbecue will be held on the green area on the east side of city hall in Brooks.
