Sunrise Park in Dunmore was filled with visitors from the town and beyond on Saturday for another successful Dunmore Days.
Organizers estimate more than 100 people were out bright and early for the free pancake breakfast, moving on to enjoy the various activities all throughout the day thereafter, said Dunmore Community Association director Jenna Riess.
“It’s our biggest community event of the year,” said Riess. “We have tons of bounce castles out for all ages up to 18. We have the pedal tractors, we have the Dunmore Equestrian roping centre, we have the Make it Rain feature with Cypress County fire … it’s a little of everything.”
A silent auction, lottery tree, giant ‘Plinko’ board and crafts table were also available, alongside food trucks with Swirls ice cream, Millie’s Soda and Sweets and the Kiwanis Club providing food and refreshments to those out enjoying the hot weekend weather.
“Unfortunately, we weren’t able to have our car show this year, which brought a bunch of numbers down. But we are very pleasantly surprised and happy with the amount we have right now,” said Riess. She considers this year a success and looks forward to, hopefully, seeing everyone return again next summer.
