The regular faces at the Gas City Kiwanis Centre are inviting the public to an open house to learn more about the groups that call it home.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 23, various organizations will host activities, sales and demonstrations at the Gas City Kiwanis Centre, including Medicine Hat Rock & Lapidary, Medicine Hat Fish and Game Association, Cypress Hills Area Girl Guides, Medicine Hat Royal Purple, Medicine Hat Warhammer Club, Diamond V Dancers, Grassland Naturalists and the Gas City Kiwanis Club.
Information on what each club or organization does for the city, as well as recruitment information for several of them.
Fish and Game will offer a barbecue, where residents can get a hot dog, chips, water and Rice-Krispie square for $5. There will also be Girl Guides cookies and a bake sale by the Cypress Hills Area Girl Guides on offer for those looking for extra sweets.
“We all look forward to seeing you and thank you for supporting some of the clubs that support your great community,” says Karen-Anne Cherwonogrodzky president of the Medicine Hat Rock & Lapidary Club.
