Looking to tap into one of the most misunderstood members of the animal world, the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is planning to explore the wonderful world of bats with residents on the upcoming Dusk Bat Walk.

“Do they suck human blood? Do they get tangled in your hair? Are they blind? We will share the answers to these questions during this family-friendly public program,” said Mhairi Donnelly, assistant chief interpreter.

The walk will begin from the front patio of the Nature Centre on Aug. 20, from 8:30-9:30 p.m. Hopefully, participants may see some bats during the program.

While this program is free to attend, registration is required. Those interested are encouraged to visit the Nature Centre, or call 403-529-6225.
