MHIP hosting nature walk to discuss all things pelican

For a landlocked province, the presence of pelicans can be somewhat perplexing; that’s why the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is offering the “What PeliCan Do” walk.

“Have you ever been curious as to why we have pelicans in Alberta? Do they really fly with their mouth full of fish and water?” asks park interpreter Rhys Mah Poy. “Come for a walk in Police Point Park along the river, where we’ll try to spot some pelicans. Let’s learn what they’re up to in Alberta!”

No registration is required for this program, those interested only need to show up at the riverside parking lot in Police Point Park on Aug. 26, starting at 11.a.m.
