asmith@medicinehatnews.com An adventure awaits for young children, as the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program dares them to find their favourite colour in Police Point Park. This “Colour Quest” children’s nature walk is part of the Discovery Tree program series, aimed at kids aged 2-5 years. “Join the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program as we explore the wonderful world of colours in nature! Mother Nature produces so many amazing colours, even here on the prairies,” said Mhairi Donnelly, assistant chief interpreter. “Let’s see how many we can find.” This is a free public program and registration is not required, merely that parents bring their children down to the Nature Centre at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 21 to test their observational skills on a mindful walk through the park. For more information about this or any other programs, call the Nature Line at 403-529-6225 or visit online at natureline.info. 7
