The Recovery Alberta Addiction and Mental Health office in Brooks has found a new home within the Brooks Health Centre.

With the work of staff in the months leading up, the office has successfully moved from Newell Plaza to a new space at the south end of the health centre, next to the Home Care office.

An open house is planned for July 24, with community welcome to attend from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. to view the renovated space and learn more about the services available in the bright, inviting space, which is tailored to create a welcoming environment for clients.

The new office also includes a therapy playroom, a group therapy room, and an observation room, all of which contribute to more effective psychotherapy sessions and expanded learning opportunities for clinicians.

“Bringing all mental health and addiction services into a single location enhances accessibility and simplifies the delivery of care,” said AHS and Recovery Alberta. “Services in the new space include child, youth and adult mental health therapy and addiction counselling for individuals and groups, a depot clinic for clients receiving long-acting injectable medications, and outreach services.”
