newsdesk@medicinehatnews.com RCMP have confirmed they have taken one person into custody after getting into an altercation with a man in a former school site in the village of Richmound, Sask. that has been converted into a compound and the current residence of Romana Didulo, the self-proclaimed queen of Canada. The video shows officers attending to remove barricades and open gate fencing that has been put up around the property that is quickly scaled by one RCMP officer who proceeds to get into a physical altercation with a male trying to prevent officers from entering the property. Within seconds, officers break through the barricades and fences and two uniformed officers as well as a man wearing citizen clothing are seen detaining the male on the ground with force while officers place the man in handcuffs. Last Friday, RCMP officers in Leader, Sask. were called to the compound after receiving a call to keep the peace. “An altercation occurred between police officers and others at the property and an adult male was taken into custody,” said Keely Grasser, RCMP spokesperson for Saskatchewan. “That matter now remains under investigation right now.” Currently no charges have been laid. “We’re at the precharge stage in the investigation and it is unfolding,” adds Grasser. The “cult” has been operating out of the former school building in Richmound, 100 kms northeast of Medicine Hat, since Sept. 2023. Groups that investigate hate crimes say she has capitalized on “Q-Anon” style tactics and has called for violence against health workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The video of the altercation has been shared on the “Nighttime: Canadian Crime, Mysteries, and the Weird” Facebook page. 12
