Man faces numerous firearms offences following dispute with neighbour

A 52-year-old man, whose name has not been released, has been charged with several firearm offences after police responded to a physical altercation Wednesday between neighbours that involved a firearm.

Officers were called to the 400 block of 12 Street SE shortly after 8:50 p.m. Wednesday and arrested the 52-year-old male who was taken into custody.

A subsequent investigation led to more firearms charges arising against the male who is scheduled to appear before court on Aug. 20.

Police are unable to release the name of the offender until his charges are officially sworn in court.
