The tradition of a unique and memorable live entertainment venue still going strong in Bow Island, Blues at the Bow will welcome Steve Manniner & Local Electric to the stage.
August 2 will see the Juno Award Winner at the historic Bow Theatre as part of this year’s season of Grammy, Juno, W.C. Handy Award, and International Blues Challenge award-winning and nominated artists who have made their way out to Southeastern Alberta.
“That Steve Marriner has accomplished as much as he has in the past decade, remains a story that continues to impress on a variety of fronts and for a variety of reasons. Simply put, it is nothing short of astounding that this Ottawa-raised, Toronto-based musician has driven, guided and participated in so many impressive and acclaimed recording and live performance projects,” said Blues at the Bow in a release for the event.
Marriner is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and to some is considered close to one of Canada’s hardest working people in show business.
Tickets are available at bluesatthebow.com for the show, which will have doors open at 7:30p.m. and begin proper at 8p.m.
Blues at the Bow is volunteer-based non-profit group, which strives to bring the best in blues music out to Southeastern Alberta, for people across the region to enjoy.
