Canada Day celebrations in Redcliff will include a foam party complete with slip-and-slide, a karate performance, live music and refreshments, the town’s Lions Club has revealed.
Festivities on July 1 at Lions Park in Redcliff will run from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and include musical performances throughout the day from Connie Jean, Rob Cook and Mixed Company.
The foam party is provided by Funtimez Entertainment, food by the Lions and face painting by Top Line Roofing.
A karate demonstration will take place at 11 a.m.

Along with its traditional Canada Day bike parade, the Elkwater Community Association will bring back a slip-and-slide to the long hill in front of the visitors centre in the townsite of the interprovincial park on July 1.
Bike decoration for young riders will begin at 9:30 a.m. ahead of the 10:30 a.m. parade when riders wind through the town and arrive back for birthday cake at 11 a.m.
An outdoor market, bingo at the community centre and other events will take place throughout the day while the Elkwater Rodeo will run in the afternoon at the grounds near the Spruce Coulee Trailhead east of the townsite near Highway 41.
