Mounties in Swift Current have issued an arrest warrant for a man they believe stole a truck earlier this week and then drove away from police during a vehicle stop on June 19.
Donny Gurney, 28, of the Nekaneet First Nation, is wanted on charges of vehicle theft, fleeing from police and dangerous driving.
Mounties say the brown, 2005 Ford F-350 was taken from a property in the RM of Swift Current sometime in the early morning hours of June 19, while two buildings were also entered.
At 4 p.m. that day, Swift Current City RCMP located the suspect vehicle on Sidney Street E., but the truck did not stop for officers.
The truck has a silver tool box, a fifth-wheel hitch, Saskatchewan licence plate 909-EFZ and a farm company logo painted on the side windows.
Gruney is described as six-feet tall, 180 pounds with brown eyes and black hair, and has the word “loyalty” and a chain link fence tattooed on his hands and wrists.
Anyone with information of his or the vehicle’s whereabouts should not approach him but contact Saskatchewan RCMP or local police.
