Community celebration event will be held to mark Hill Pool’s new look

The city will make a splash in July to celebrate the upgrades to Hill Pool.

A community celebration will be held July 14 from 4-8 p.m. at Hill Pool and Park, an event focused on showcasing the new look of the pool, which opens Saturday.

The outdoor pool has long been a pillar of summer fun in Medicine Hat and now features upgraded change room facilities, a new accessible washroom and change room, updated lobby space, new sunshades with solar panels, new perimeter fencing, deck lighting and more.

As part of the event, there will be live music from a DJ around the pool deck with water battle zones, as well as pool games available for those attending to win prizes.

In the park, the event will feature a barbecue with snow cones and other snack options. There will also be a variety of backyard party games and other kids activities.
