Suspect in custody already believed to be behind multiple thefts

Police say they have recovered two stolen vehicles and laid charges against a suspect in a string of recent thefts.

On Friday, the Medicine Hat Police Service stated that Jayden Skinner, of Medicine Hat, faces multiple charges of theft and property crime after officers investigated a break-and-enter on Cottonwood Way on June 10. Skinner was arrested the following day and police now consider him a suspect in a number of thefts from commercial properties in the Southwest Industrial area.

In those cases several thousand dollars worth of tools were taken during break ins.

Skinner is being held in custody following a release hearing.
