Next week more than 100 cyclists are expected to share a fun ride together as Bike Medicine Hat and Tourism Medicine Hat present the Great Big Pedal event held at Kin Coulee Park.
On Wednesday, June 18, riders are invited to join a group ride that begins at 6 p.m. with registration, followed by the ride starting at the Kin Coulee bandshell at 6:30 p.m.
There will be ride options for cyclists of all ages and abilities, including a short, medium and long route. The full ride is planned for two and half hours and participants are asked to wear a helmet for protection.
The first 150 riders to register will receive a $5 food voucher that will be redeemable at the foot trucks in attendance.
The cycling event promotes healthy living, as well as the city’s more than 190-kilometre trail system that weaves from the north to south ends of Medicine Hat, throughout downtown and most city parks.
